The snap of a few sparks, a quick whiff of ozone...
Don't you love putting two great things together? You know, like peanut butter and chocolate, tights and leg warmers, or bread and eggnog? Well, here is how you do the latter.
Here is what you will need to make Eggnog Bread:
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cups sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 beaten egg
1 3/4 cups canned dairy eggnog
1/2 cups cooking oil
1/2 cups chopped pecans
1/2 cups golden raisins
1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
2 to 3 tsp. eggnog
In a large mixing bowl stir together the flour, sugar, baking powdered, salt, and nutmeg. Combine the egg, eggnog and oil; add to the dry ingredients, stirring just until combined. Stir in the nuts and raisins. Turn into a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake in 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes. Cover with foil after 50 minutes if bread browns too quickly. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove bread from pan; cool on a wire rack. Wrap bread store overnight. To serve, stir together powdered sugar and enough eggnog to make a drizzling consistency. Drizzle over bread.
If you don't like or want to use nuts and/or raisins may I suggest some dried cranberries? Enjoy!

Love the blog! We all get a kick out of it at TPC...probably hurts our bandwidth, but whatever. Quick question for the Christmas experts...know of any shops in the Costa Mesa area with unique Christmas ornaments? I'm participating in an ornament exchange game and need something with a "wow" factor. I ordered some of these online, but I don't think they'll arrive in time: http://ohmybuttons.blogspot.com/
Keep up the good work!
i really have no idea, but thanks for following along! Velvet, do you know?
